Christmas Lights – the best displays around town.

Drive around looking at Christmas lights – is this on your holiday bucket list?!

If it is – you’re in luck! Atlanta has no shortage of beautiful displays. Here are a few popular hot spots to check out this holiday season.

 

Christmas in Castille (Alpharetta)-  Dec 1st – 24th between 6pm – 9pm on Thursday – Saturday. Tune your radio to 89.9FM. Please check the Facebook page for inclement weather updates.

 

Christmas on the Hill (Flowery Branch) The Hathcock family puts on this amazing animated light show which you can stop by and see at 6711 Willowbrook Trl. from 6-10 PM.

 

Mint Julep Christmas (Ball Ground) The show runs every evening through New Year’s Eve (weather permitting),  Sun-Thur 6pm-10pm, Fri-Sat 6pm-11pm. There are  40,000+ lights that are synchronized to music with over 20 songs and the entire show lasts just under an hour. The display is free, but donations are accepted and ALL funds go to the Sibley Heart Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

 

Life College Lights of Life  (Marietta) More than 100 pieces displayed throughout the 1.5 mile drive through campus. The display of Santa and his sleigh stands over 65 feet high making it the tallest in the Southeast. There is a petting zoo, pony rides and train rides for a fee. Open Thanksgiving Day, November 24 through New Years Eve, December 31st, 2016. Hours: 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Magical Night of Lights A seven-mile drive through tour of animated, festive, holiday light displays.  At the end of your tour, the Holiday Village awaits with carnival rides and games, pony rides and numerous holiday treats. (Some activities require an additional fee) Also included with daily admission is access to the live nativity. From Friday, November 18, 2016 TO Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Open daily 5:00pm- 10:00pm.

Callaway Gardens Fantasy in Lights Eight million lights and 15 dazzling scenes. Drive your car or ride the Jolly Trolley to experience scenes like March of the Toy Soldiers and Snowflake Valley.  At Robin Lake Beach, enjoy Twas The Night before Christmas and The Nativity, light and sound shows enticing passers-by to stop, reflect and enjoy. Friday, November 18, 2016 to Saturday, January 7, 2017.

 

Emory Johns Creek  Free Christmas Lights Display on Hospital Parkway in Johns Creek by Emory Hospital for the whole of December.Enjoy nearly 1 mile and nearly two dozen displays of Holiday Lights in along Hospital Parkway in Technology Park at Johns Creek. Available free to the public from Thanksgiving through New Year, the show is conveniently located on your way to your Holiday shopping destinations and excellent eateries. Sponsored by the Johns Creek Owners Association and Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Technology Park at Johns Creek.
